March is Women’s History Month. Now more than ever, we celebrate women’s supernatural powers to overcome adversity and defy societal norms to pursue their dreams and define success on their terms. Even in the middle of a global pandemic, women have been able to pioneer unchartered territory to access the highest levels of accomplishment – while inspiring others to do the same. 

Challenges Unique to Women

It has been one year since the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything. Unfortunately, the toll it has had on the work/home/life balance (if there ever was such a thing) has been tremendous — especially for women. In September 2020, approximately 865,000 women left the U.S. workforce — four times more than men.

This staggering fact is proof that women are continuing to fill the stereotypical and systemically reinforced roles of home manager – doing the bulk of work that occurs inside the home: cleaning, cooking, parenting, and managing children’s schooling and extracurricular activities. For women who have businesses or are still employed, this means there are even more demands on their time and ability to navigate day-to-day life.

Hera Hub’s mission is to consistently provide resources, community, and support to help women achieve their professional dreams and goals. We are a female-focused (and gender-inclusive) coworking space, community, and business accelerator whose membership consists of brilliant entrepreneurs, executives and creatives. Over the last nine years, thousands of female entrepreneurs have benefited from the daily workshops, masterminds, and one-on-one mentoring that Hera Hub provides. 

Hera Hub is proud to provide the much-needed reprieve from the daily grind so that our members can receive guidance and camaraderie that is so crucial to the emotional well-being and sustainability of the businesses and projects that are important to entrepreneurial women. When the global pandemic first began, Hera Hub took immediate action and pivoted to conduct all of our member events and programs virtually for every nationwide location. Then in December 2020, Hera Hub opened a brand new Virtual Membership tier, so that women not located in areas where there is a physical Hera Hub location can join and access the business acumen, confidence, and other resources they need to launch and grow a thriving business.

Our programming pushes you to maintain focus on your business – which can be exceedingly difficult when working from home. These are some of the highly impactful offerings that are readily available to members at any stage in their professional journey, with over 80 hours monthly of official Hera Hub events that you can tap into daily. We have consistently found that the members who regularly participate in our programming make great strides in their businesses.

Participation in Hera Hub programs and simply stepping into our coworking space organically lends itself to genuine invaluable connections with other entrepreneurial females. Partnership and collaboration abounds at Hera Hub. Additionally, our Sub-Hubs are member-led, affinity groups that meet regularly to mastermind and workshop business challenges, teach other resources, and support one another.
