What Was the Inspiration Behind Your Business?
At about the age of thirty, I started to notice that I had a deep connection to helping others get where they want to go. I really enjoy using my craft and skill sets to facilitate a process for people that want to live their full potential. The inspiration behind it comes from two main sources. 1) Experiencing tumultuous young adult years of uncertainty, poor decisions and self sabotage. I became very in touch with the feeling of powerlessness and it did not feel good. 2) My Grandmother was a huge inspiration as she lived a life of love, spirituality, financial wealth and amazing health; passing away at the age of 103. With these two contrasts, I learned how powerful it is to make choices that benefit my health, mindset and well-being.
Who Are Your Clients and What Do You Do for Them?
My clients are leaders who want to experience their full potential. They often have an underlying struggle that dampers their success and they are very motivated to overcome it. They are both individuals and organizations. Through keynotes, training and private sessions I facilitate a process that demonstrates a healthy mindset cycle so they can achieve greater heights.
What Are Your Business’ Values? How Do They Align with Your Personal Values?
My top 6 business values are: truth, trust, compassion, perseverance, creativity and leadership.
How do they align? In every way. I treasure the ability to tell myself the truth in order to get out of unhealthy situations and to trust myself through the process. I am compassionate with myself and no longer beat myself up. There is only learning. I use creative processes like self hypnosis, meditation, journaling and fitness and I feel being more in touch with myself emotionally has made me a better leader.
How/Why Did You Choose Your Business Name?
I love the word vitality. It absolutely represents who I am and what I teach. To have vitality is to choose mental and physical vigor. To create and embody a life energy that connects me to purpose and is positively contagious to others.
What Do You Love Most About Your Work?
People. I love people and their stories. I enjoy their capacity to grow and stretch themselves. It is exhilarating to both watch and facilitate.
What is the Biggest Challenge in Running Your Own Business?
I want to do too many things and all at once! There is always an area that needs attention, so the faster you can grow revenue to afford team members, the better.
What are Your/Your Business’ Goals for the Future?
My goal is for Vitalmind Inc. to influence 1,000,000 people to live healthier, fully expanded lives. To wake them up to their full potential.
