This past year has been a whirlwind of travel, work, and new friendships as I fully embraced the digital nomad lifestyle. From bustling cities to serene coastal towns, my adventures have been nothing short of transformative. One of the critical enablers of this journey has been the diverse co-working spaces I’ve had the privilege of using. Each offered unique experiences that not only facilitated my work but also enriched my travels in unexpected ways.

Since November 2023, my digital nomad journey has taken me to Portugal, where I have had the opportunity to co-live and co-work with a community of like-minded individuals. This experience was particularly impactful as it provided a perfect blend of productivity and exploration. These opportunities allowed me to bond and form long-lasting friendships.

One of the highlights of my remote journey was reconnecting with (Catherine and Lucy), friends I initially met in Portugal. We planned a spontaneous trip to London, where we explored together. This reunion was a testament to the enduring power of community and the unexpected joys of digital nomadism.

Working and traveling has always been my goal, even before the pandemic. COVID-19 just showed the world that it’s possible. To make this dream a reality, I focused on creating a remote business that allows me to work from anywhere. Since 2020, I have traveled to Mexico, Thailand, Belize, Portugal, the Azores, Dubai, London, Australia, Amsterdam, and Belgium. Each destination has added a unique chapter to my journey, blending work and exploration seamlessly.

As I reflect on my experiences, I’m reminded of how crucial these co-working and community spaces were in making my travels feasible. They provided the infrastructure needed to maintain my business, offered opportunities for professional growth, and, most importantly, connected me with a global community of inspiring individuals.

Hera Hub’s Global Collective remains a cornerstone of my work life. With its supportive community and serene environment, it has and will always be my work base. In addition, experiencing different co-working cultures has broadened my perspective, teaching me to appreciate the variety and vibrancy each space brings.

In sharing my journey, I hope to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones and explore the world, all while staying connected and productive. The digital nomad lifestyle is not just about travel; it’s about finding new ways to connect, grow, and thrive in a global community.
