Hera Hub is thrilled to announce that we will be opening our doors to our first franchise in Washington D.C. at the end of April. This opening marks the first of the company’s extensive plans to franchise nationally – and to help 20,000 women grow their business in 200 locations.

D.C. AddressExpanding to the east coast, specifically D.C., was a strategic decision made by Hera Hub’s founder Felena Hanson as, according to a study done by personal finance website Nerd Wallet,  D.C. ranks number one in female entrepreneurs with nearly 35% of its businesses owned by women. Felena selected Washington D.C. franchise owner Julia Westfall due to her experience with education and her own entrepreneurial ventures, which have included work in the financial, human resources, marketing and sales industries.Julia Westfall

Felena says, “I’m elated to have Julia join the Hera Hub team. Her passion for supporting women, coupled with her natural ability to connect and create community, gave me the confidence to grant her the first franchise location.”

Julia came to San Diego for a week-long training session, where she toured the workspaces and spent time with the Hera Hub team, learning from Hanson and her staff about how to successfully market, run and maintain a Hera Hub location.

“I’m so thrilled to be finally taking this last step and officially opening the doors of Hera Hub Washington D.C.” says Westfall. “I have worked long hours to make the space just right and it will be great to see all my ideas and work come to fruition. Moreover, I am eager to to be in a position to support female entrepreneurs by providing a platform for collaboration and support. ”
