Thinking about writing a business book?
Have you heard that the ebook is the new business card? An ebook is a great way of establishing your authority in your field. At Hera Hub’s April 21st Authors’ Salon, two entrepreneurs (and active Hera Hub members!) will share their experiences publishing both ebooks and print books.
Laurie Itkin founded The Options Lady to educate and empower women and couples to take control of their finances, overcome their fears of investing, and grow the money they work so hard to earn. She is also a financial advisor and money manager at Coastwise Capital Group. Laurie is author of the Amazon best seller Every Woman Should Know Her Options: Invest Your Way To Financial Empowerment a contributor to Daily Finance and Stilettos on the Glass Ceiling; and a frequent guest on television having appeared on Fox News, Fox 5 San Diego, and KUSI San Diego. In addition to investment planning, Itkin will discuss how writing a book is the best way to set your business apart from the competition.
Liz Goodgold is an author, professional speaker and branding expert. She has coached over 200 executives, presented to over 15,000 audience members, and presented over 400 talks. Replacing ho-hum presentations with her gung-ho style, audiences at Warner Bros, Qualcomm, Abbott Labs, Meals on Wheels, Pfizer, and dozens of trade associates know they are in for tasty words of LIZdom.
How to Speak Gooder: To Get Promoted, Get Noticed, And Get The Business!is her third book and will be published this month. Goodgold will read from her new book, give tested tips for speaking success and share how publishing can enhance your business and establish your expertise.
Learn how to go about writing, publishing, and marketing your book. Ask questions of Laurie and Liz and find out what is really involved. In addition to their dynamic presentations and a panel discussion, enjoy wine and dessert. A perfect evening event for any entrepreneur!

This post was contributed by Linda Scott, EdD. Before founding eFrog Press in 2011, Linda taught high school English and college technology courses, designed websites for authors and small businesses, presented on the writing process, edited newsletters, and wrote magazine feature stories. Drawing on these varied skills and Linda’s connections with authors and publishing, she launched eFrog Press in 2011.
eFrog Press developed a menu of ebook production services and discovered that independent (indie) authors also need help connecting with readers online. Their publishing services help authors optimize their books’ placement on ebook sellers’ sites like Amazon. Subsequently, book trailer production was added to promote ebooks before and after publication through their YouTube Channel.
eFrog Press has worked on nonfiction titles, historical romance, young adult, poetry, biography, memoir, and children’s titles. So, no matter what the genre or topic of your book, eFrog Press can take care of the publishing details and free you to focus on your writing. Linda, now a published author herself, is a co-collaborator on the Hera Hub Authors’ Salon series, held quarterly at Hera Hub, Carlsbad.
