Rebecca Vaughan, a first generation American, was born and raised in Maryland with her British parents. Rebecca’s passion for supporting local businesses stems from her family’s entrepreneurial background and the value she places on community and economic growth.
Her entrepreneurial journey began at the early age of seven when Rebecca went door-to-door selling Christmas cards from a catalog out of a cardboard briefcase. Rebecca’s professional journey includes serving as the national sales and marketing director for her father’s occupational respirator business, which took her across 38 states. She later was instrumental in helping to found two marketing firms, a research firm, and a start up liquor brand (with her TSG San Diego co-owner, Alisa Marie Beyer). Although her career path has been diverse, her passion for building businesses and forming connections has remained unwavering.
Apart from her professional pursuits, Rebecca is also passionate about nonprofits and the arts. Over the years she’s served on multiple boards, including holding the positions of chairwoman for the Prince William County Red Cross Volunteer Council and the Manassas City Business Council. When Rebecca’s not making connections in her community, she and her rescue dog Sheba enjoy taking long drives and trips to the beach.
Rebecca is grateful to Alisa Marie Beyer, her longtime business partner, for bringing The Scout Guide to her attention. Now living in California, the duo have seized upon the opportunity to launch The Scout Guide San Diego and to collaborate and create something exceptional in the thriving small business community of coastal San Diego. With their vision in mind, they’ve hit the ground running, and their future looks promising. They’re excited to have you follow along in the next chapter in their inspiring journey!
