Our first interview is with Hera Hub member and One Hart Events Founder Talin Hartounian. Talin, a University of California at San Diego graduate, has over 10 years experience in special event planning. After graduation she worked for a PR company and quickly learned she did not want to work with the media. She realized she loved working with the nonprofit companies. Throughout the early years of her career, she learned that volunteering was what she enjoyed doing.
After quitting her last “big kid job,” a project as an event planner fell into her lap. After that event, started her own business One Hart Events. She has worked planned a wide variety of events over the past 5 years and has loved every single day of it.
Recently, Talin was named The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2014 Woman of the Year. Talin received recognition for initiating nationwide campaign to raise more than $70,000 in just 10 weeks in hopes of helping find a cure for blood cancer and funding a research portfolio at the University of California, San Diego.
