Both LinkedIn and Google have adopted a “Bring Your Parents to the Office Day”. Both companies say it’s a way for employees to showcase the work they do every day and to say “thank you” to their parents for all the life lessons and career related advice they’ve provided over the years.

Since Coworking spaces, by definition, are not traditional work environments, it’s not always feasible to arrange such a company-centric type of event.

At Hera Hub, we know that, for many of our members, their businesses are a family affair. So, we flipped this idea of bringing parents into the office for a single day, to asking how they came to have their parents as business partners.

We asked two Hera Hub members, Lauren Gaggioli and Tracy Petrucci, to share their experiences in how their parents became involved in their businesses.
