A few weeks ago we received an interesting package in the mail. It was a plain box and on the outside all it said was “You don’t know us, but we think you’re AMAZING!”
We opened up the package intrigued with what we would find and all that was inside was a piece of paper, a Coke bottle, and an Expo marker. The company said they were an office supply company and not much else about them.
On the other side of the piece of paper was a step-by-step instruction guide for how to open the Coke bottle with an Expo Marker. What does that have to do with an office supply company you might ask? We have no idea!
A couple of weeks passed and we received a follow up email and they used the wording “to have us work together.” We were so intrigued with what they were selling that we set up a call. The woman knew a lot about Hera Hub, our franchise process, and our future DC location. The call ended and I gave her our Director of Operations contact information to see how we could work together in the future.
Why are we taking the time to write about this? Because this was a BRILLIANT cold call! We get packages all the time of people trying to sell office supplies and we never reply to the follow up email. This impressed us. Their ability to think outside of the box was unique and refreshing.
