Women Who Exit Interview

Felena Hanson “virtually” sat down with Christine McDannell, to discuss the sale of one of her prior businesses, Eco Chateau Wellness Spa back in November 2017 in San Diego, California.

Christine McDannell is the Co-Founder & CEO of Kndrd the first management software platform and global directory for the Coliving industry. She is also the Founder of Kindred Quarters in California and published the first book on Coliving in 2018: The Coliving Code.

Christine is an accomplished and seasoned entrepreneur with 8 successful exits since 2003. In fact, all companies are still in operation to this day. Described by her peers as a Futurist, Christine’s core talent is identifying unmet needs and being able to quickly build, organize, and systematize ventures to rapidly fulfill the need. Her favorite place to play is in spaces that did not exist prior and devising innovative solutions to alleviate the problems faced by humans globally.

Some of the largest issues plaguing modern society are in the real estate and social dimensions. People are signing away their paychecks on rent and feeling increasingly isolated. Christine is on a personal mission to solve these widespread challenges through the Coliving movement by helping redefine the term ‘housemate’ with something meaningful, sustainable, and flexible on a global level. Her current venture, Kndrd, embodies this solution with a complete booking and management software for both operators and residents of these living spaces. Kndrd completed the Techstars program in May of 2019 out of Amsterdam.

You can catch Christine weekly interviewing top leaders in this space on her YouTube show & podcast: The Coliving Code.
