On July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law. The purpose of this legislation was to ensure equal opportunity for people with disabilities.

Many of us know that the ADA regulations required many changes, over time, to commercial buildings, retail establishments and residential properties to make them accessible. New technologies and other resources have helped in many ways as well.

But there is still so much more to do, especially with respect to digital accessibility.

And everyone used to think it was just for big business, not small business and service-based companies, for example. That isn’t the case anymore.

Listen in as Kim Alfonso, Co-Founder and CEO of Results One, LLC, shares why digital accessibility is more important now than ever.

Kim has extensive experience working with People with Disabilities and is an expert in the Disability and Accessibility arena. Her work in this field is both professional and personal, as she has a college-age daughter who is visually impaired. She is inspired by her daughter and wants to create a world where accessibility and disability inclusion is not an afterthought, and people with disabilities are left behind.

Kim Alfonso, Co-Founder, and CEO of Results One, LLC, is also our Website and Digital Accessibility GURU. If you have questions about your website and digital presence and how you can make them more accessible, check out her GURU page and schedule a time to chat!
