For over 20 years, I worked in two of Mexico City’s most prestigious hospitals. Trained in Western medicine, I believed I was helping people. But over time, I watched as chronic illnesses—diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, cancer—continued to take hold of my patients’ lives.
Medications weren’t curing them. They were merely managing symptoms. My patients weren’t healing. They were surviving, not thriving.
That realization changed everything.
The Turning Point
I began to ask deeper questions. What were we missing?
I explored the root causes of chronic disease and how both the body and mind respond to healing. I immersed myself in holistic and functional approaches to health, and quickly realized: food, emotions, thoughts, toxins, and lifestyle play a far greater role than what’s taught in medical school.
I also became a dedicated student of human behavior. I studied psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral change—because information alone isn’t enough. People need tools, accountability, and support to make lasting change.
The Birth of Aprendo a Comer
After years of study and evolution, I created Aprendo a Comer—a coaching program that combines functional nutrition and mindfulness to help people reclaim their health and vitality.
This is not a diet.
It’s a deep, transformational process.
And it works:
- 92% success rate in corporate programs (weight loss, improved glucose levels, medication reduction, autoimmune relief)
- 72% success rate in one-on-one coaching — a remarkable number in this field
- 6,500+ lives impacted — and we’re just getting started

Why It Works
We don’t just cut sugar, remove heavy metals, or eliminate processed foods.
We also release toxic thoughts, emotional patterns, and limiting beliefs.
Our work empowers clients to change from the inside out through:
- Personalized food plans
- Self-reflection tools
- Mindfulness-based behavior change practices
- Exercises to heal their relationship with food, body, and environment
They learn to:
- Read food labels
- Stock a nourishing kitchen
- Prepare meals that support true healing
- Understand how their body functions—beyond trends or fad advice
Because here’s the truth:
No doctor—no matter how brilliant—can heal you in a 30-minute visit.
Real health is your responsibility.
It comes from learning to listen to your body and making conscious choices every single day.

Why the U.S., Why Now
After years of success in Mexico, I came to the U.S. with a mission:
To expand this work, especially where chronic illness is widespread and support is often scarce or based in pills (medicines), that do not heal, they just mask symptoms.
I deepened my training at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and chose to stay in San Diego to launch Aprendo a Comer in the U.S.
I also joined Hera Hub—to collaborate with like-minded leaders and grow this vision of empowered, sustainable wellness.
💚 If you’re tired of band-aid solutions and ready for real, lasting change — this is your invitation.
You can heal. You can thrive.
And I’d be honored to walk that journey with you.
