Finding Your Soul Mentor is an introspective, practical workshop built from one of Michaela’s own mentor’s frameworks. Here, she aims to guide early-career professionals through the process of finding aligned, meaningful mentorship. The session centers on first identifying your specific support needs across career skills, mindset, and work structure; then clarifying your personal values to understand who will be truly compatible as a mentor; and finally mapping out actionable groups to strategically connect with as you begin your search. Participants walk away with a clearer sense of what they need, who they resonate with, and where to look for the people who can help them grow.
About the Author

Michaela Coté is an intergenerational workplace educator and sociologist who started the Early Career Sub Hub to help early-career professionals navigate the daunting life transition that comes with entering the workforce. After graduating from the University of Washington and building her career from scratch in San Diego’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, she became passionate about demystifying the taken-for-granted parts of professional life; the unwritten norms, expectations, and skills that feel like “common sense” only once you’re already on the inside. As the founder of Empatheia Consulting, Michaela brings a Gen-Z lens rooted in cognitive sociology, dialectics, and human-centered communication to her role as the Early Career Sub Hub facilitator at Hera Hub. Here, she aims to support young professionals in identifying their needs, building meaningful professional relationships, and developing the confidence to grow into the next stage of their careers.
