All of us have personal mountains to climb. Hell, entrepreneurs start their mornings face-to-face with Mount Kilimanjaro (right after their first latte of course). We all face obstacles that seem insurmountable, perhaps it was taking the leap to fall in love or finding the gumption to leave a corporate job and launch your business. Whatever the mountain, whatever the task, it can be conquered. S.H.E. Summit, started by Claudia Chan, is a week of women-led events inspiring women across the globe to climb their mountain and accomplish their goals. This movement is a culminating and transformational leadership and lifestyle conference for women held, June 14 and 15. This pop-up style event has literally sparked a chain reaction,as women across the world host small conferences and workshops to celebrate women’s accomplishments-big and small.
As Claudia shares with the Huffington post, S.H.E. Summit, is an event designed to ignite women to reach for new, bold heights –while also encouraging us to celebrate our successes (what we ARE getting done) more. I continue to build this business because I believe women deserve to FEEL amazing about themselves more often. And the more we can convene to share our stories (and struggles — which if we’re honest, come from the criticism and judgment we inflict upon ourselves), the easier and more transformative the climb up will be.EVERY WOMAN on my team, along with the women we know, has climbed or is climbing her own #SHESummit. Whether it’s building a business, becoming a parent, triumphing over adversity, doing a mix of all three, or simply conquering the weekly to-do list, we all have goals upon which we’re hanging the next phase of our lives. We often say to ourselves, “If I can only achieve ‘X,’ everything else will be amazing!” The challenge is great, but we need to be kind to ourselves in the process. It’s not getting to the top of the mountain that’s the win, it’s the journey that is the win.

about 4 years ago that my life started to get so bright with color. I had a dream that was incubating for many years and was slowly evolving into a beautiful reality. Similar to a butterfly emerging from its cocoon for the first time, I was breathing new air and feeling alive and inspired to fly. This is when 4 Corners became my life. 4 Corners is an international boutique interior design and import/export firm.
What are you inspired by? Nature, travel, patterns, fashion, and other people who are living out their dreams. I am inspired by my mother and my sister. I’m inspired by intelligent woman. I am inspired by small moments that make my heart beat a bit faster. I am inspired by color and graphics. I can be inspired by a child’s laugh, a great nail polish color and a fabulous dessert after dinner. A good idea. A good night’s rest and a good laugh. I’m easily inspired.
