Q: Can I buy daily or hourly access without a membership?
A: Because a safe community feel is at the heart of what Hera Hub offers, we limit coworking space access to members only. You may, however, try out the space for a couple of hours. Please contact us for a tour and trial.
Non-members are welcome to book our meeting room, conference room and event space.
Q: What counts toward the hours in my membership package?
A: Here is a list of the benefits that do and don’t count toward the hours in your membership package:
The following DO NOT require hours to be used:
- Member hosted workshops and events
- Public workshops and events
- Rooms booked at member rates or included in your plan
- After-hours social events, gallery openings and parties
The following DO count toward your package hours:
- Member lunches
- Member happy hours
- Working or meeting in the shared coworking space
- Holding your GURU hours
- Business Booster
- Writers’ Lounge
- Business Book Club
- Use of the video room
Q: What is included in mail handling?
A: Mail handling includes:
- Use of Hera Hub’s professional office address as your business address.
- A private mailbox in our mailroom, labeled with your name.
- Have your letters and packages delivered to Hera Hub and signed for by our receptionist. You can pick up your mail any time during regular business hours.
Q: What is intern strategy coaching?
A: Intern strategy coaching is available to members on Gold or Platinum membership plan to help you understand the legal and tactical aspects of hiring interns. Read more about this benefit here.
Q: What if I don’t use all the hours in my package?
A: Your membership level is established in anticipation of your estimated hours of use of Hera Hub on a monthly basis. Full use of those hours is up to you. Hera Hub does not grant refunds for unused membership hours. Unused coworking hours and meeting room booking credits cannot be rolled over into the following month nor shared with another member.
Q: Is there a long-term commitment?
A: Not at all! Flexibility is very important to us. All membership packages are month-to-month (with auto-debit). The cancellation period is 30 days (which typically means one billing cycle).
Q: How are hours tracked? Do I need to “check in”?
A: Currently, tracking is on the honor system, so there is no need to check in. If you find that you’re using more hours than you originally signed up for, please let us know and we will upgrade your membership to the next level.
To make it easier for you to track usage, we are currently working on implementing a system that will track your hours for you each time you come in and log onto our wireless network. Stay tuned for updates!
Q: How often can I switch between packages?
A: You can switch between packages any time, keeping in mind the 30 day notice required for changes to take effect.
Q: How, and how often, will I be billed?
A: When you become a Hera Hub member, you will set up a user account through our member management system – Iris. You will enter your credit card and be pre-billed for the remainder of the month. After that, your credit card will be automatically charged on the 1st of each month.
If you rent a room, the total amount will be added to your monthly invoice and charged at the same time as your membership fee. If your membership package includes some meeting room and conference room hours, your account will contain room rental credits and you will not be charged for those hours. Please note: meeting room and conference room hours do not roll over monthly.
Q: What are guest day passes?
A: Guest passes are included in the Silver, Gold and Platinum membership levels.
A member may give a guest pass to a trusted coworker, partner or client, and that person may use the pass to work at Hera Hub with or without the member during one regular business day.
Guest passes are limited – additional passes may not be purchased.
Guest passes may not be used by members.
Q: As a member, can I book rooms at member rates in all locations?
A: Only bronze members and above can rent rooms at member rates in all locations. Community Access members get the member rates for room rentals at their home location only.
Q: Can my employees or partners use my membership?
A: Memberships are individual, but you may use your guest passes for partners and employees.
We do occasionally create custom plans for small companies. Please contact us to inquire about this option.
Q: What happens if my card is declined and I miss a payment?
A: Should the collection of your payment be declined or not received by your billing date, you will have 15 days from the time of notice to reconcile the payment. If payment is not reconciled within this reasonable time frame, the payment is subject to an additional penalty fee of 15%.
